only the males, it would have been pretty harrowing if you were trying to rescue it from a flood or something.. but tank bred where it's coming up to you of it's own accord is pretty safe.

That said.. the pain doesn't respond to morphine and some victims have said they still experience pains decades after being stung. So.. yeah.
